Additional Event Details
In 1984, Irene Lewis generously donated the land now known as Lewis Park & Trails (LPT), formerly Lewis Memorial Acres. She established a trust to preserve the property as a Christian park for the community, ensuring its 40 acres of beautiful prairie and woods would remain a setting for recreation, relaxation, and reflection. The park is governed by a non-profit board that oversees the maintenance and development of the park.
Participation is totally free! However, in place of a typical entry fee, a donation is highly encouraged. Proceeds go directly to trail upkeep and park maintenance. Lewis Park & Trails is run by a nonprofit and relies on events like this one to keep the park thriving.
