Coach Phil Soule
Phil Soule coached football at Bowdoin College for 39 years. He also coached baseball, wrestling, lacrosse, squash, and track during his Bowdoin career.
One of the founders of the Maine Rowdies running club, Phil was a competitive runner. Marathons, ultra-marathons, and triathlons were his favorite events.
Phil's philosophy was to live each day to its fullest. The intent of the 5k Phlail is to honor that belief.

Race day check-in: 8:30-9:45am
The 5K race is 2 laps around the Pickard Field complex through woods and fields. The course is grass and dirt trails with good footing and flat terrain.
