What is Stripes Run: Purple Edition?
Stripes Run 2026: Purple Edition marks the 15th year of McDonald’s Philippines’ Stripes Run, bringing together families and friends across not just in Manila. But this year expanding in Cebu, Davao, and Clark, Pampanga for a fun, non-competitive run all for the benefit of Ronald McDonald House Philippines (RMH).
As a fundraising activity, the event aims to raise funds to support RMH and its programs that provide comfort and support to families of children receiving medical care.
Is there an age limit to register for the Stripes Run?
There’s no age limit to register for Stripes Run 2026: Purple Edition. However, individuals that are not yet of legal age (17 years old and below) should be accompanied by their parents/guardians.
How can I register?
All participants can register online in just three easy steps.
- First, visit the Stripes Run: Purple Edition website: https://raceroster.com/events/2026/140345/mcdonalds-stripes-run-2026-purple-edition It will be link and redirected in our race roster site. Register and choose you’re your preferred mode of payment. Run registration site, Race Roster.
- Second, fill out the form by choosing the race category, shirt sizes and the complete info.
- Lastly, Pay online via GCash, GrabPay, Debit Card & Credit Card.
When is the registration period?
Online registration will start on September 25, 2026
Is the online registration system secure?
Yes. We use a security system consistent with the banking industry standards of the Philippines.
*Please note: Online registration with delivery entails extra costs: processing and web fee and delivery fee, on top of published registration fees.
Can I register directly at any McDonald’s store?

What will I get if I register?
All participants will receive race kits inclusive of a race shirt, race socks, race bib, race map, breakfast meal and finisher’s token to be given on the day of the race.
What is the material of the shirt?
The Stripes Run 2026: Purple Edition race shirt is dri-fit and 100% polyester.
Will there be onsite registration on race day?
No, online registration period will be start on September 25, 2026 until supplies last. We will keep you informed of any updates & announcements in our social media pages.
I registered but I won’t be able to attend on the day of the race event. Can I still claim my free breakfast meal and finisher’s token?
No, the finisher’s token, medal and the breakfast meal can be claimed during the Stripes Run race day only.
I registered already but I decided to change my race category. Is this possible?
No. Once registered, we can no longer change the race category as registration is non-transferable and non-refundable.
I already registered but I changed my mind, can I have a refund?
No, registration is non-transferable and non-refundable as stated in our Terms and Conditions agreed prior registration confirmation.
How much is the door to door delivery fee for Manila leg?
- Metro Manila Address – PHP 180.00
- Outside of Metro Manila (Luzon) – PHP 200.00
- Visayas and Mindanao Area – PHP 220.00
RACE CATEGORIES
What are the race categories?
Participants may select any of the following race categories depending on their chosen venue:
How may race kits do we get if we are joining the 3K Family Stripes category?
Participants will get FOUR (4) race kits for family Stripes participants, this include FOUR (4) race bibs, FOUR (4) shirts and FOUR (4) Race Socks. (2 for kids and 2 for adults)
We are a family or friends of FOUR (4), but we would like to join the individual categories, can we do that?
Yes, you may join EITHER the individual categories OR the family category depending on your preference. Corresponding registration fees will apply.
We are a family of FOUR (4), can we WIN BOTH in the Individual and Family categories?
No, you may only win in EITHER the individual OR in the family/squad category. Total family time for the family category will be counted.
Can we join the FAMILY CATEGORY even if we join in different distances?
No, the family category are only for the 3Km distance.
If we are a group of 4, but we don’t belong to the same family, can we join the 3K Family category?
Yes, you can join as long as you are a group of FOUR and within the specified age requirements: 2 KIDS (16 years old and below) and 2 ADULTS (18 years old and above) for 3K Family Stripes
FUR/PET CATEGORY
Can I bring my pets to the run?
Yes, you can! We have a separate category for pet lovers, they can register and participate with their pets.
Why do I need to upload my dog’s updated vaccination record or a veterinarian clearance?
To help ensure the safety and well-being of all participating dogs and their owners, we require proof that your dog is up to date on vaccinations or has been cleared by a licensed veterinarian as fit to participate in McDo Stripes Run 2026. This also helps us maintain a safe and responsible environment for everyone during the event.
If I am registered in an individual category, can I still bring my dog? Or pets?
No, you can’t. Bringing of dogs are solely for 1K Fur Stripes ONLY. Organizer’s will not allow entry of not authorized or registered in the run.
What if my fur companion is in heat or aggressive, are we still allowed to participate?
No, pet companions that are in heat/aggressive will not be allowed to participate, Doctors and Vets are available on race day, and will screen first your fur companions before entering.
Are we allowed to unleash our fur companions?
No, Fur companions must be on their leashes at all times within the race routes and village. Participants must be liable and responsible for their fur companions.
Is there a pet size limitation for the pet category?
No pet size limitation for the fur companion (big or small dog), but participants must be responsible for the fur companions. Aggressive or inheat fur pets will not be allowed to enter or join the run.
What if my dog is in heat/aggressive, can we still join?
No, fur pets that are in heat or aggressive will not be allowed to enter, you will be sent home.
If I was sent home, is it possible to refund our participation?
No, this is not allowed. Refund for inheat fur companions will not be allowed.
MODE OF PAYMENT
What are the modes of payment?
Upon online registration, participants can choose to either via GCash, GrabPay, Debit or Credit Card only.
Do you accept cash payments?
No. All payment for Stripes Run will be via GCash, GrabPay, Debit or Credit Card only.
CONFIRMATION EMAIL
How will I get a confirmation after a successful registration?
Once the registration fee is paid, participants will be receiving a confirmation email with all summary of information and payment fee from Race roster with an email address of mcdostripesrun@runrio.com. Please check your inbox, promotions folder and spam folder for the confirmation.
What will I do if I didn’t get a confirmation email?
If you haven’t received your confirmation email, please reach out to our Stripes Run support team through mcdostripesrun@runrio.com or send us a message via the Runrio Facebook Messenger page.
CLAIMING OF RACE KITS
How can I claim my race kit?
Race kits will be delivered to you registered address during the registration phase. You may expect the race kits to arrive within November 2026. via Third party carrier (LBC).
I couldn’t claim my race kit during the claiming period? Can I claim it on the event day?
Unclaimed race kits can be claimed on December 5, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A dedicated booth for claiming the race kits will be available at the Race event.
Can I change the size of my shirt after registration and confirmation?
Changing of Shirt sizes is NOT APPLICABLE after the registration form has been submitted. Participants should refer to the race shirt size chart on the online registration site.
RACE EVENT
Will there be winners for the fastest runners?
Yes, the top three (3) male and female finishers in each race category will be declared as winners.
Is there a timing chip in the race bibs?
No. Stripes Run is a non-competitive run, so there will be no official race timing or timing chip in the race bibs. However, the top three (3) finishers in each race category will be identified and recognized as winners.
Where will the awarding ceremony take place?
The awarding ceremony will take place inside Stripes Run Race Village.
Will the run time per runner be tracked?
No, the top (3) winners per category will be only tracked.
Is it required to wear the Stripes Run shirts during the race?
Yes, it is necessary to wear the Stripes Run race singlet during the Stripes Run race.
Are there freebies on the day of the race?
Yes, there will be giveaways/freebies on the race event day.
When is the medal going to be given?
The medal will be awarded at the finish line. Please make sure to wear your race bib so the Stripes Run team can easily identify and hand you your dedicated medal.
When is the dog medal going to be given?
The dog finisher’s medal will be awarded at the finish line. Please make sure to wear your race bib so the Stripes Run team can easily identify and hand you the dog medal.
How can I claim my finisher’s token and my free breakfast meal?
To claim the free breakfast meal and finisher’s token, participants may present the race bib meal stub at the redemption booth within the Stripes Run Race Village.
Will there be baggage counters and changing areas?
Yes, there will be baggage counters and changing tents at the Stripes Run Race Village.
Will there be available portalets on the race day?
Yes, there will be portalets inside the Stripes Run Race Village.
Will there be road closures and parking facilities at the start and finish line?
Yes, there will be road closures. Parts of the race route on the event day will be closed to traffic. Please refer to the official road advisory in the official race and LGU traffic advisories to be deployed 3 days prior race for specific road closure timings.
Are you offering discounts for the following?
a. SENIOR CITIZENS:
NO, the Stripes Run is a fund-raising activity for its flagship program Read to Learn
Program, under Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). The Stripes Run registration fee is not
covered by the goods against which a Senior Citizen may apply the 20% discount or VAT
exemption. Entitlement extends only to purchase of food, beverages and other
consumables for their personal consumption and enjoyment.
b. GROUP REGISTRATION:
NO, the Stripes Run is a fund-raising activity for its flagship program Read to Learn
Program. We encourage customers to invites their friends and family to sign up and
contribute to the fund-raising event for the benefit of Read to Learn Program.
For groups of 4 that qualify the specifications of 3K Family and 5K Squad categories, Php
2,499 for 3K Family and Php 3,199 for 5K Squad registration fee already recognize big
savings.
