Queenstown Harbor Golf Resort is excited to host its inaugural Fore the Fun 5K Run, a fall/Halloween-themed Sunset Walk/Run on
Sunday, October 25, 2026, kicking off at 5:15 PM
Up to 250 runners and walkers will participate at Queenstown Harbor Golf Resort in a 5K (3.1-mile) course along the resort's scenic cart paths and private roadway, timed so the race and finish-line festivities land right around dusk.
As Queenstown Harbor's first-ever public 5K, Fore the Fun is designed to be a signature community event (open to the public), drawing runners, families, and fitness enthusiasts from across the Eastern Shore of Maryland and neighboring territories for an evening of fall color, costumes, and community spirit. The race wraps up with a costume contest, medals for all finishers, podium and age-group awards, and a post-race celebration at the Pavilion, complete with "Trunk or Tee", a kids' trunk-or-treat activity, and food and drinks available for purchase at the Tavern.
This year, Fore the Fun is proud to support the Jacob Sloan Foundation as our inaugural charitable partner. Established in memory of Jake Sloan and run entirely by volunteers, the Jacob Sloan Foundation is a Queen Anne's County-based nonprofit and a component fund of Chesapeake Charities, Inc. (501(c)(3)). The Foundation's mission focuses on supporting children and families in need, the arts, athletics, and underprivileged communities right here in our local area.

We ask that if you are walking the 5K, pushing a stroller, or are on the slower side, to line up in the back of the line so we can get all of the runners/faster paced participants out quickly. This is for the safety of all participants! Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

R2R Timing Systems will chip all times using the MYLAPS BibTag Timing System.

Results will be posted online during the race (in real-time), and the final race results will be posted once the race is complete. Your bib will include a QR code that, when scanned with your phone, will provide you with your race results (for PRE-REGISTERED runners only). A QR code will also be found at the timing tables, which you can use to access the website/results. We will do our best to get these up promptly. Thank you for your patience, as we have sometimes experienced Wi-Fi connectivity issues in the past.
