"TREK Sturbridge Halloween 5K & 1K” Family-Friendly Race Event
The Rotary Club of Sturbridge is delighted to bring to our community this combination of timed races and other activities:
• a timed 5K Trail Race ($35) ........ Start Time 10:00 AM
• a Fun Walk on the same 5K trail ($30) ......... Start Time 10:00 AM
• a timed 1K Road Race for pre-teens (12 years & under) & folks with mobility challenges ($20) .........Start Time 9:15 AM
• a costume parade, relay races and organized games for young children in the LUNCH ROOM. (Free)......... Start Time 9:00 AM.
There will also be a BEST COSTUME competition just prior to the Awards Ceremony, for all registered Racers and Walkers.
So please join us the morning of Sunday, October 25th, 2026.
HALLOWEEN COSTUMES are ENCOURAGED !!!!
This is a STURBRIDGE ROTARY CLUB fundraiser, with ALL PROFITS GOING TO LOCAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AND OTHER COMMUNITY NEEDS PROJECTS !!!

T-Shirts
5K-Racers, 1K-Racers and 5K-Walkers who REGISTER BEFORE OCTOBER 19th, 2026, will get a free "TREK Sturbridge Halloween 5K & 1K" T-shirt.
Race Day Registration
Onsite race day registration begins at 8:30am. We will be providing a QR code for you to register on your device. For those not able to register online we will provide paper registrations.
Course Map and Information
The event will be held at the Old Sturbridge Village EDUCATION center on Old Sturbridge Village Road (not to be confused with the Old Sturbridge Village Academy) and will use the well-groomed Arbutus Park Trail in the Leadmine Mt. Conservation Lands for the 5K Race and also the 5K Walk.
The 1K Pre-Teen Race will also start and finish at the same location as the 5K Race, but is a Road Race.
Children's Games
The free Children’s Games will begin at 9 AM at the Education Center's LUNCH ROOM
Registration is not required to attend the free children’s games.
Awards
The Awards Ceremony will be by the Registrations Booth at approx. 11:15 AM.
