Saturday Orienteering Series
Term 4 features high‑energy orienteering focussed on school grounds — fast courses, tight turns, complex buildings, and plenty of chances to out‑smart your friends. These events are designed to be quick, social, and seriously fun. Our final event for the term (on 21 November) will be Christmas themed for some festive action plus we will light the BBQ for lunch and socialising afterwards.
Each week you’ll tackle a new map, new route choices, and new challenges. Expect fast decision‑making and the thrill of finding the best line before anyone else does. It’s competitive, but in the best way — everyone is learning, everyone is improving, and everyone is part of the action.
Courses are open from 9:30am and at 11am each week there will also be social relays for 2 to 4 runners (it's all included in the one entry). Everyone can participate. If you don't have a team mate, the Bold Horizons crew will match you up with a buddy.
Why you’ll want to be there
- Courses are short, sharp, and designed for speed
- School campuses make the navigation intense and exciting
- You can race solo or team up with friends
- Every week feels different with new layouts and tricky map details
- It’s active, social, and a great way to spend an morning outdoors
What to expect each session
- A fast‑paced course set around buildings, courtyards, stairs, and open areas
- A friendly, upbeat atmosphere
- Coaches on hand to help you level up your skills
- Results that show your progress across the term
Whether you’re competitive, curious, or just keen to hang out and try something new, school‑ground orienteering gives you a challenge that’s fun, social, and different from anything else you do during the week.
Come along, get moving, and discover something new.
