These sessions help build confidence, control and safe riding skills in a supportive environment.

Free Beginner Bike Skills Session
For children aged 8-12 years old who can ride on their own and want to build confidence and core skills in bike riding.
10am-11:30am, Wednesday 7th October 2026

Free Advanced Bike Skills Sesson
Wednesday 7th October 2026 12:30pm-2pm
For children aged 8-12 year who are confident riders ready to improve control and learn more advanced techniques.

What to bring
· A bike in good working order
· A helmet
· A water bottle
· Comfortable clothing
· Closed-toe shoes.

Meeting point: Basketball Courts/COLA area
School access: May Street pedestrian gate

Important information
- Participants must bring their own bike and helmet.
- Sessions will go ahead in light rain.
- You will be notified if cancelled due to severe weather
- No bike riding on astro turf or along balconies
About the program
The NSW Government’s Get Kids Active program, helps children build the confidence and skills to ride safely and supports more families to walk and ride to school. These bike skills sessions are delivered by AusBike as part of the program.
