How it works:
On the morning of the event, meet your team at our starting location and receive your race package. Included inside are the maps of the 6 legs of the route (a secret until the day of the race!). Each leg ends at a different pub and you are not done with your leg until you arrive and have finished a beer (provided by our volunteers at each location). Once your beer is down, the next runner in your team is allowed to set off to complete their leg. This continues until all 6 of you have run and you have arrived back at our start location, where there will be food and the celebrations and awards can continue!
The route will take teams across the city, stopping off at some of our best pubs, breweries and bars along the way. The legs will be of varying difficulty (expect at least one hilly leg!) and length but will generally be around 5-8km. You could even sign up solo if you're crazy enough to tackle the whole thing by yourself!

Time: Race Package Pickup 9:15 am - 10:15 am. All teams start together at 10:30am.
Results, awards and presentations are anticipated to be held around 3:00 pm and we expect everything to be done around 4:00 pm.

Prior to the event, team captains will receive an email with brief outlines of the 6 relay legs for team members to pick from. Detailed maps will not be provided until you pick up your race kit on race day! Team waiver forms MUST BE COMPLETED before the start and will be included in your race package on race day. All teams start together. This is not a race of speed, but if you are fast, we may have engineered some dastardly challenges along the way to slow you down and allow others to catch up! :) Team captains are responsible for organizing their teams and for passing on information.
Race Day - All teams will meet at starting location Freddy's Brewpub, between 9:15 and 10:15 am to pick up their race package envelope. The envelope will contain your team bib numbers, detailed maps and information about the relay route, the host pubs, pub relay sponsors, and other goodies.
What is included?
- Two beers per runner (one for each leg and one at the finish)
- Food for your team at the finish
- A prize for every participant. This is our last event of the year so we distribute any unclaimed prizes from our other races.
- Team prizes for best costume, best time, and a few other surprises!
- A fun filled event!
