The RALLY x City Park Runners Turkey Trot 5K is back for 2026, and we’re bringing everyone together at Cargo Bar in Assiniboine Park for one hell of a Thanksgiving morning.

Last year, nearly 200 people joined us. This year, we’re going BIGGER.

And registration is limited, so don’t sleep on it.

This isn’t about chasing a PB or being the fastest person on the course.

The Turkey Trot is an UNTIMED 5K FUN RUN built for runners, walkers, first-timers, seasoned racers, friend groups, families and anyone who wants to move, celebrate and start Thanksgiving morning with a few hundred people doing the same.

Run it fast. Jog it. Walk it. Wear something ridiculous.

Just get yourself to the start line.

THE 5K

We’ll meet at Cargo Bar in Assiniboine Park before heading out together for a 5K through the park.

This is a FUN RUN, NOT A RACE.

No chip timing.
No podiums.
No pressure.
No pace requirement.

We’ll have leaders and sweepers out on the course to make sure nobody gets left behind.

Whether you want to fly through the 5K, jog with your crew, walk the whole thing or somewhere in between — you belong on this start line.

All paces are welcome.

AFTER THE FINISH LINE

Crossing the finish line is only half the fun.

Once you’re back at Cargo Bar, the RALLY really starts.

Grab your included drink. Gobble down a turkey sandwich. Hit the s’mores station. Hang on the patio. Win some prizes. Celebrate with your crew while the DJ keeps Thanksgiving morning rolling.

Come for the 5K. Stay for the party.

10:00 AM → Runner arrival + check-in

11:00 AM SHARP → Turkey Trot 5K begins

11:30 AM → Drinks, turkey sandwiches, s’mores + outdoor DJ after-party

After that → Patio hangs, prizes, games and community time
