Countdown to event
Whether you're celebrating the end of the year or setting the tone for the year to come; the annual Wild Earth Resolution Run and Community Carinval is the place to be every New Year's Eve
The race is based at the Alabaster Fields in Carrara, just off the M1 on Broadbeach/Nerang Road so it's easy access with a load of parking right on site (pre-purchase your parking during registration)! Our course winds through the gorgeous Emerald Lakes Golf Course and around Emerald Lakes itself, with the twilight racing just adding to the occasion before we set off our fireworks at the athlete and family friendly time of 7.30pm!
Aside from the running, there's jumping castles, giant games, food trucks, merchandise and market stalls plus a pop up bar with a range of soft and 'it's been a long year' options!
Every entry entitles you to pick ONE inclusion option; and this year we've got some amazing choices from some of our favourites of years past as well as some fun new selections! Many include our best medal yet and for those that don't; simply add it in during registration
Two junior events, a longer race (2.5km); the Essential Energy Solar Dash, which will include something for the competitive kids with prizes for overall placegetters and for age group winners. Our shorter race; the Emerald Lakes Golf Club Junior Bolt, will retain its focus on pure fun and participation. All participants, in both events, get the same choice of inclusions, there's just a little more for the fast and focussed kids to vie for!
The 'mygc physio' 4km and 'Run Resilience' Pram Push return, as do the longer races; the 'fisiocrem' event now set at 9km whilst the 'Pro Feet' event is the 13km around the tranquil Emerald Lakes.
Of course, it's not New Years Eve without fireworks so the FREE Wild Earth Community Carnival is back with jumping castles, Gecko Sports and other free kids activities thanks to Cr Bob La Castra, Gold Coast City Council and it's Active & Healthy program our family-friendly 7.30pm fireworks display.
So join us for the 2026 Wild Earth Resolution Run today and see you on New Year's Eve for a night of fun, fitness, family, friendship and fireworks!
