The Women For Women originated back in 2003..... a community driven event. It’s energy and purpose is to bring awareness and funds to all kinds of women. It originated with the focus on supporting women in education with scholarships, bursaries that are available for entering, continuing and graduation students in all program areas. While education is important, so is women in need, families and non profit organizations....
As the Women For Women event grew with popularity...so did it's maturity. It's sharing wealth became a priority. Its past and current charitable and educational causes are Campbell River & North Island Transition Society Women's Resource Centre) in the past Robron/ Continuing Education, Babies Best Chance, Forest Circle Society and Foundry have also been recipients. The Women For Women Fundraising event continues its giving....the Campbell River Hospice Society and Care-Mongering are at the forefront.
While Campbell rivers businesses have been generous over the years...the focus of the event continues to look for sponsorship...
Major sponsorship and donations in the past 23 years have been Troy Young REHN Enterprises, Lyn Paterson, Boston Pizza, All in One Party Shop, Tim Hortons, Al Sharpe/Tri Gem Cabinets.
