2027 Annual Stewart McKelvey Fredericton Marathon Race Weekend
May 7 - 9th, 2027
EARLY REGISTRATION AVAILABLE FOR SOME EVENTS!
YOUTH RUNS (200-1000M)/ 5K/ 10K/ 21.1K/ 42.2K/ BUNDLES/VIRTUAL
Registered participants in every event will receive:
- a bib
- a runner's tech shirt
- a finisher medal
- nutrition/ hydration at the finish line
- Certified Red Cross First Aid trained course support
- Road closures for safety provided by trained staff and City of Fredericton Police Force where required

Events are held at two different locations.
Saturday Events (5K Walk, 5K Run, Youth Fun Run) are held at Officers' Square at the corner of Queen St and Sainte Anne's Pointe Drive
Sunday Events (10K, 21.1K, 42.2K) are held at Queen Square at the corner of Aberdeen Street and Saint John Street.

Registration and Race Policies
*Registration deferrals are not offered this year. In lieu of deferrals this year, we are able to offer refunds for 2027 registrations only. You can also transfer your registration to another person or transfer yourself to another event. For our refund policy, click here.
*Bib number swapping can cause medical problems on race day and any runner found swapping their bib number without having properly transferred their registration will not be allowed to run in this event and will be banned from all future races.
*Please be aware that there is a 6 hour cut off for the marathon. As a guideline, if you have not passed the 1/2 timing mat by 10:15 AM (2 hours and 45 minutes after the start), chances are you will not finish in 6 hours. Therefore, any runner approaching the finish line area to start their second loop after 10:15AM will be directed across the finish line and given a half marathon finishing time.
*Please note race kits MUST be picked up Friday or Saturday before the race. NO race kit pick up will be available Sunday, May 9th. You may have another person to pick your race kit up for you.
