Melbourne Pride Run

Below are brief role descriptions. Further instructions including start times will be provided in the lead up to Pride Run.

Bag Drop

Oversee bag drop for volunteers or participants wishing to leave a bag while they run/walk. For security, you’ll need to stay in the bag drop area the entire time.

Water stations

Oversee the provision of water to runners on the course.

Bib distributors

Hand over bibs, pins and any pre-purchased merchandise.

Finish line marshalls / participant medal distributor

Hand medals to all participants wearing a bib and keep them moving through the finish line.

Face painters / glitter gods

Apply supplied makeup to consenting participants. A current Working With Children check is required for this role.

Welcome Marshalls

Be on hand to welcome participants and point out the locations of the bib pick-up marquee, bag drop, bathrooms and starting line.
