The 38th Annual MNP Moon in June Road Race is a unique evening event in downtown Burlington. We have created an event for all ages, with our Rocca Sisters KidFest activity center, the Movati Meredith's Hero Kids 1K fun run for children age 1-12 years of age, Gordon's Great Grand K walk for seniors and supporters of our charity, Children's Aid Foundation of Halton, along with our MNP 5k walk, 5k run, 10k run, through downtown Burlington. Post-race activities include food, drinks, beer gardens, live band and awards.
Entries are limited; sign up early.
We have a variety of sponsorship opportunities if your organization would like to support our event and the Great Kids at the Children's Aid Foundation of Halton. The MIJ is a 100% charity event.
Team and Group entry fee discounts are available for groups of 6 or more.

1 km Run for Kids - 2 year Wave starts for kids from 1 yr old (with an adult) to 12 years old - oldest start first. The route is south along Brant street then a quick turn North - Children will be within eye site of parents for 100% of the run

Entry Change and Refund Policy
Planning for Moon in June begins well in advance of race day. We place orders, coordinate suppliers, and organize the safety and care of all participants months ahead of the event. Because many event expenses are incurred early, we must limit refunds and entry changes.
That said, we do offer several options for participants who are unable to attend race day, depending on how much notice is provided.

ROCCA SISTERS KidsFest, MOVATI Meredith's Hero 1k Run
Our Rocco Sisters Kidsfest and Movati Meredith Hero Kids 1k Fun Run have been an integral part of our Moon in June festivities for 25 years. Bring the kids early to enjoy our many activities and attractions at the KidFest from 4:30 - 7:00pm. The Movati Meredith's Hero 1k Kids run begins (in waves) at 6:30. Make it a full evening of activity, with a medal and freezie for each finisher (along with pizza and a drink).

Registration and Bib number pick up
Pre-Race Bib pick up, and late registration is available Friday, June 4th 2027, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm at Movati Athletic 2036 Appleby Line and Saturday "Race Day" at a location to be announced from 1:00 pm -7:00 pm (come early, it will be busy and there will be lots to do and watch!)

Teams, Schools, and organizations that sign up 6 or more people can receive this 15% discount.
Age Restrictions
5K participants 8 years and older. Younger participants are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
10k participants 12 years and older. Younger participants are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
The Course
The Moon in June course is a flat, fast one-loop certified 5k and a 2-loop certified 10km in downtown Burlington. The route highlights the fabulous Burlington Waterfront, starting and finishing at the blue clock in front of City Hall. Participants are encouraged to make MIJ a family affair while supporting the Children's Aid Foundation of Halton.
All participants who register prior to May 18th will be given a Moon in June custom MiJ t-shirt at bib pick up, and a medal at the finish line!
Post Race
The Moon in June post-race activities are second to none. Enjoy a light post-race meal, soft drinks and enjoy the live band and for those of age, our beer gardens! (Your first beer is included in your race entry fee!)

Bike Corral
Don't let parking be an issue, use our complimentary, supervised and secure bike corral. Bike corral is managed by the Burlington Cycling Committee and is available on the north side of city hall from 4:00 - 10:30pm.
