Chevron City to Surf for genU
Lace up, Australia. Our charity-led fun run is back, and you can join from anywhere!
For more than 50 years, the Chevron City to Surf has brought people together for an important cause. Can't make it to Perth? Take part in the Virtual event. Run, walk, or roll, your participation raises funds for genU, the charity that owns the event and works for people with disability and their families across Australia.
Complete your distance any time between Monday, 23 August and Sunday, 5 September. Whether you're a first-timer, a keen runner, or heading out with kids in tow, this one's for YOU. Go at your own pace, in your favourite place: the local park, the beach, the bush track, or laps of your own street.
Your support will go towards:
- Equipment and programs that remove barriers, so people with disability can do more of what matters to them
- Upgrades to genU homes across Australia, so the people who live there can move around safely and live more independently
Funds raised support people with disability in your own state or territory.
Want to go further? Set up a fundraising page when you register and ask your friends and family to back you. Every dollar counts.
Sign up your friends, your family, your school, or your sporting club, wherever they live, and be part of something that makes a real difference.
Because your entry does more than get you to the start line.
The Chevron City to Surf has been bringing West Australians together for more than 50 years. It's one of Australia's longest-running community participation events, and it exists to raise funds for people with disability.
genU, the charity that owns the event, began more than 70 years ago with a group of parents who wanted more opportunities for their children. Today it's one of Australia's leading care providers, offering supported housing, education and training, employment services, and community programs.
genU works nationally, but all funds raised from its City to Surf virtual events stay in the regions where participants are located. Every dollar helps make homes safer and more accessible for people with disability, so they can live more independently and with more confidence.
That support matters more than ever. Disability services across Australia are going through significant funding changes, and community fundraising helps genU keep running the programs people rely on.
So run, walk, or roll for the fun of it, and know that you're making a real difference while you do.
