Funds raised through Zoo Move and Groove will go directly toward the completion of the Zoo's new 9,800-square-foot facility, the Doornbos Animal Rescue and Care Center (Doornbos ARCC), designed to support animals in their most vulnerable moments.

More than doubling the Zoo’s current holding capacity, it will feature specialized spaces for quarantine, medical observation and recovery. Planned with input from veterinarians and staff, the Doornbos ARCC, alongside the new Veterinary Medical Center, will elevate animal health and welfare across the Zoo while expanding our capacity to assist partners, including the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services and the Wildlife Trafficking Alliance, with urgent calls to help animals rescued from the wild or trafficking.

With your support, this vital center will create a calm, secure environment that reduces stress and supports safe transitions to habitats or partner institutions.
