Lake to Bay Relay & Ultramarathon

Lake to Bay is a single-day, 1-7 person team, 62.2-mile (100k) relay or ultramarathon event venturing through the beautiful cities of Vancouver and Camas, Washington. The event begins at 4:30am in waves 4-10 teams every 20-minutes from Frenchman’s Bar Regional Park. Runners then head through downtown Vancouver, loop clockwise around Vancouver and Camas, finishing along the Old Evergreen Highway, and into the newly developed Vancouver Waterfront! This event runs through city parks, along sidewalks and park trails, through crosswalks, in bike lanes, and on the shoulder of narrow roadways. This event is not a street race - streets are not closed - and all participants runners are required to abide by pedestrian laws.
Registration includes race entry, one car pass to two regional parks (Frenchman’s Bar Regional Park and Salmon Creek Regional Park), one parking pass at the finish in Terminal-1 Garage (downtown, 403 Quayside Pl, Vancouver, WA 98660), an event t-shirt, a finisher medal, a post-race meal hosted by Twigs Bistro & Restaurant, and memories of a lifetime!

COURSE MARKINGS: The three types of course markings include:
- Orange and pink lawn flags.
- Orange and white pieces of laminated 8.5”x11” paper with blue (or dark) directional arrows on wooden posts.
- College, high school, and middle school teams can use sidewalk chalk to decorate preassigned locations. Click here to view the assigned chalking locations.

Volunteers
Lake to Bay Relay Teams must provide one (1) volunteer to participate in the event.
Below are the options regarding volunteers:
- Option #1
"Hire Volunteers" - L2B Team opts to pay $75.
These funds go directly to volunteer assistance, supporting local high school or middle school sport teams.
- Option #2
"Supply Volunteers for L2B"
L2B Team opts to supply a minimum of one (1) volunteer.
The minimum age for a volunteer is 18 years old, or 14 with an accompanying adult volunteer.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to choose their preferred assignment, but will not have guarantees of receiving it.
Assignments can be anywhere along the route and at any time during the relay. If any of our volunteer(s) do not show up at their selected assignment, I understand our team will be assessed a cash penalty of $100.
Team Captains are responsible for ensuring their volunteers complete the form by June 1.

Note: If a team chooses "Option #2", but cannot provide volunteers by June 1, they will be required to pay the $75 fee before the day of the event
