As these are guaranteed entries (versus lottery, Wanda Age Group, etc), the Tokyo Marathon 2027 will not refund, defer or allow for a cancellation under any circumstance. Purchasing applicable insurance (see below) and cancelling for an insurable reason will prevent you from losing your deposit and payments and will cover these fees as well.
If you cancel and we can resell your package, the following fees will apply:
- 15% of what you have paid if cancelling 120 days or more prior to registration closing
- 25% of what you have paid if cancelling between 14 and 119 days prior to registration closing
- 50% of what you have paid if cancelling 13 days or les prior to registration closing
- 100% of what you have paid if cancelling after registration has closed or at any time if we are unable to resell your package.

The difference between what you paid and the fee listed above will be held as a credit for you for 24 months from the time you made your last payment for this particular package. Credits may only be used for trips/packages listed on our website.
Registration is expected to close in (Mid November 2026).
Why We Charge Fees
We purchase guaranteed Tokyo Marathon 2027 entries in advance at significant cost, and they are non-refundable and non-transferable. If a participant cancels, we must find a replacement, process the transfer, pay applicable change and banking fees, and dedicate staff time to re-advertise and re-register the entry. As a result, a cancellation fee is required to offset these costs.

With paid insurance you will be able to cancel for insurable reasons as well as running injuries (doctors letter required) while training! Note that your credit card most-likely does not have nearly enough coverage! OR get CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) coverage with certain policies from us when you purchase your coverage within 72 hours of placing your initial deposit!
