Youth Central knows that when young people are encouraged to participate, they make an immediate impact while building long-term resilience for both themselves and their communities. Since 1992, we have provided free, evidence-informed programming that supports healthy youth development by ensuring youth ages 12-18 across Calgary have access to supportive relationships, meaningful engagement activities, opportunities to develop essential life skills, and compassionate environments where they feel valued, connected, and heard.
Our programs prepare the next generation of community leaders for tomorrow’s challenges.
Your Support Will:
- Empower 2,500+ youth who annually volunteer 40,000+ hours of impact for 145+ community partners.
- Reduce the occurrence of youth social isolation and loneliness, and strengthen positive outcomes for youth mental health and well-being.
- Support high school graduation and employment skill-building.
- Connect young people with diverse volunteer opportunities, leadership experiences, events, and community initiatives that build confidence, skills, relationships, and a sense of belonging.
