Reesor 50 Ultraranch Festival
The Reesor 50 Ultraranch Festival is a weekend of trail running, food, camping and good times at the Historic Reesor Ranch in Saskatchewan's Cypress Hills.
The courses travel through rolling grasslands, winding trails and beneath the towering conglomerate cliffs of the Cypress Hills. Expect challenging climbs, spectacular views and one unforgettable weekend at the ranch.
All five races start and finish at the Historic Reesor Ranch.

REESOR 50
The Reesor 50 is approximately 83 km in distance, with 2,300 metres of vertical ascent/descent.
There are six fully stocked aid stations, two additional water-only stations and finish-line aid.
Start: 8:00 a.m. Saturday
Cutoff: 2:00 a.m. Sunday (18 hours)

REESOR MOUNTAIN MARATHON
The Reesor Mountain Marathon is 42 km in distance, with 1,250 metres of vertical ascent/descent.
There are three fully stocked aid stations plus finish-line aid.
Start: 9:00 a.m. Saturday
Cutoff: 7:00 p.m. Saturday (10 hours)

The Reesor 10 is a beautiful Saturday running of the Sundown 10 course.
This race is open to everyone. It will also serve as the junior 10 km qualifying race for the Canadian Mountain and Trail Running Championships.

We are excited to once again offer a combined $10,000 cash prize purse, with equal prize money for the top three women and men in both the Reesor 50 and Reesor Mountain Marathon.

ACCOMMODATIONS
1. Staying at the Ranch
Book a stay at the Historic Reesor Ranch's B&B or private cabins.
Reservations open October 15, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. CST. Reservations are first come, first served, with a two-night minimum.
Online bookings are available through the Historic Reesor Ranch website.
2. Festival-Style Camping at the Ranch
Tent or vehicle camping is available in designated camping areas. Size restrictions are in effect.
Cost: $50 per vehicle for the weekend.
Camping must be added to your registration by May 1, 2027.
Facilities include bathrooms, porta-potties and showers.
3. Other Accommodation Options Nearby
Additional camping is available in Cypress Hills, Elkwater and at Reesor Lake.
Hotels and condos are available at Elkwater, with additional accommodations in Maple Creek and Medicine Hat.
MEAL OPTIONS
1. Friday night lasagna -- May 21
This meal is included with the Sundown 10 and Sundown 5 registrations. Fat brick of lasagna heaven, Caesar salad and garlic toast. Vegetarian option available.
$30 per person. Served 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
2. Saturday night steak dinner — May 22
This meal is included with Reesor 50, Reesor Mountain Marathon and Reesor 10 registrations. The meal is a 8 oz New York strip steak, baked potato with fixings and garden salad. The vegetarain option is a stuffed bell pepper.
$40 per person. Served 5:00pm until last runner is in.
3. Sunup Scramble Breakfast — May 22
Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit, juice or coffee.
$30 per person. Served 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
4. Birthday Breakfast — May 23
Pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, juice or coffee.
$30 per person. Served 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Purchase additional meal tickets for your friends and family during registration.
5. Additional Meals
Additional meals can be purchased during registration or added to your registration until May 1, 2027.
REFUND POLICY
Full refund until February 1, 2027, including meals and camping.
50% refund of the race fee only until 12:00 p.m. on April 1, 2027. A $5 refund fee applies.
No refunds after 12:00 p.m. on April 1, 2027.
TRANSFERS
Distance changes are allowed until May 1, 2027, with a $5 fee.
There are no person-to-person bib transfers.
Distance changes must be completed by the runner through Race Roster. Race organizers will not complete transfers on behalf of runners.
DEFERRALS
No deferrals are permitted except for specific pregnancy-related circumstances. Please see the full policy on our website.
NO WAITLISTS
There will be no waitlists for sold-out distances.

The Reesor 50 is 50 miles (83km) in distance. The vertical ascent/descent is 2300 metres. There are 6 fully stocked aid stations on the course, plus the finish line aid. In addition to the 6 aid stations, there are 3 water-only stations along the way. The start time will be 8am and finish cutoff is 18 hours (2am). The cutoff times at each aid station are to-be-determined.
