Beaches Joy Ride — Full Route
Start/Finish: East Beaches Social Scene, 3 Ateah Road, Victoria Beach
Full Route: Approximately 66 km out and back
Shorter Ride: Turn around at Belair and retrace the route to the Social Scene
Full-Ride Turnaround: Grand Marais Community Central, 36058 PTH 12, Grand Marais
Outbound — Victoria Beach to Grand Marais
Start at the East Beaches Social Scene, 3 Ateah Road.
Follow Ateah Road south.
Turn onto David Road and travel east toward PTH 59.
Turn south onto PTH 59.
Turn west onto Hillside Beach Road.
Follow Hillside Beach Road to Lakeshore Road.
Turn south onto Lakeshore Road and continue through the Hillside Beach/Belair area.
At Belair Road, turn east and travel to PTH 59.
Short-route riders turn around here and retrace the route back to Victoria Beach.Full-route riders turn south onto PTH 59 and continue toward Grand Marais.
Turn west onto PTH 12 into Grand Marais.
Continue to Grand Marais Community Central, 36058 PTH 12. This is the turnaround point for the full ride. (Beaches of 59)
Return — Grand Marais to Victoria Beach
Retrace the same route:
Grand Marais Community Central → PTH 12 → PTH 59 → Belair Road → Lakeshore Road → Hillside Beach Road → PTH 59 → David Road → Ateah Road → East Beaches Social Scene.
One Ride — Choose How Far You Go
Everyone registers for the Beaches Joy Ride. You don't need to select a distance when you register.
Ride to Belair and turn back for the shorter ride, or continue to Grand Marais Community Central and back for the full approximately 66 km route.
The Beaches Joy Ride is a non-competitive, rules-of-the-road cycling event. Roads remain open to regular traffic, and riders must obey traffic signs, signals and Manitoba traffic laws throughout the route.
RUN SERIES ROUTES:
Steinbach 5K & 10K Route
Starting and finishing at Penner International Field at Steinbach Soccer Park, participants head west from the start, cross the road and enter the Bush Farm Trail.
The route follows the trail system west before heading south for the southern out-and-back extension. Participants then return north, continue through the trail system and loop around Abe’s Hill before making their way back toward Steinbach Soccer Park and the finish at Penner International Field.
5K participants complete the full course once.
10K participants complete the same 5K course twice.

Start & Finish — Penner International Field, Steinbach Soccer Park

Selkirk 5K & 10K Route
Starting and finishing in Selkirk Park, the Joy in Action route takes participants on a scenic 5K loop through the park, following the outer park road and pathways.
The course travels along the Red River, continues around the northern end of Selkirk Park, there is a turnaround at the end of the forest path, and then it loops back along the west side of the park before returning to the start/finish area.
With river views, wooded sections and plenty of open park space, the route is mostly flat and welcoming for both competitive runners and those enjoying the course at their own pace.
5K participants complete the loop once.
10K participants complete the same 5K loop twice.
