Kato Fun Run 2027

Kato Fun Run is a brand-new, community-led 5K fun run and community celebration coming to North Mankato on Saturday, May 22, 2027!

Whether you're chasing a personal best, walking with friends and family, or just coming for the afterparty, you're welcome here. Kato Fun Run is all about bringing people together, creating joy, and supporting an incredibly important cause along the way.

Kato Fun Run is an independent, community-led fundraising event benefiting Greater Mankato Area United Way's youth mental health and suicide prevention initiatives, supporting kids throughout Blue Earth, Le Sueur, Nicollet, and Waseca counties.

Our goal for the inaugural year? Raise $5K for our first 5K!

More Than a 5K!

Crossing the finish line doesn't mean the fun is over! We're planning an afterparty of activities, including:

• Live music from local band Dirty 930
• Games & inflatables for kids and adults
• Activities including bubbles, face painting, and more
• Community booths & resources from local organizations and partners
• Food & refreshments

You don't have to be a runner to belong at Kato Fun Run. Come walk, volunteer, cheer somebody on, explore the activities, learn about local resources, or simply spend the day with your community.
