What Is The Cole Classic?
The world's biggest ocean swim. Over 6,000 swimmers.
First held in 1983, the Cole Classic celebrates its 45th year on Sunday 7 February 2027, bringing swimmers of all ages and abilities together at Sydney's spectacular Manly Beach for 1km, 2km and 5km ocean swims.
New for 2027 is our ALL-IN Inclusive Swim, creating further opportunity for swimmers with disabilities and additional support needs to be part of this iconic event.
Whether you're chasing a personal best, swimming with friends, tackling your first ocean swim or simply enjoying the experience, it's your swim, your challenge, your day.
Since a few of Old & Bold MLSC silverbacks wrestled ownership of the event back to the community in 2020, together we've raised more than $1.4 million for charity through the Cole Classic and Ice Cold Classic, supporting causes that matter to our swimmers.
More than just an ocean swim, it's a celebration of our ocean swimming community.
As Graham Cole intended, it's the People's Swim.
