Apista Events and the Awa Backyard Ultra are bringing back the exciting format of backyard ultra distance running to Whanganui. A new 6.7km lap on the hour every hour until there is one runner left. The ultimate test of physical and mental endurance.
For those who are looking to win, the Awa Backyard Ultra 2027 is a Bronze Ticket event. This means that if you are the last person standing you will receive a free entry into a Silver Ticket event from which the national team is selected.
Every runner is welcome. Even if you aren't planning on running into the night or into the next day, set your own personal lap goal and see if you can beat it.
