The Great Northern Winter Festival celebrates the cold, our community, and the climate that shapes life in Minnesota. For our 10th anniversary, the festival brings together saunas, outdoor activities, live music, art, food and drink, and vendor villages, alongside panels, conversations, and live podcasts about climate solutions and our changing winters. Race Day FAQ: Festival Access
Does my race bib get me into the festival?
Yes. Your bib is your ticket to the festival grounds after the race. Just show it at entry and head on in.
Can I use my bib on other festival days?
No. Your race bib or registration gets you in on race day only, Saturday, January 30. To come back for other days of the festival, you’ll need a festival pass.
Is everything at the festival included with my bib?
Your bib covers general access to the festival grounds. Some experiences, including The Great Northern Sauna Village and our climate film series, require a separate ticket.
How do I get tickets for the Sauna Village or film series?
After you register, you’ll receive an email with a dedicated link to buy Sauna Village and film tickets. You can also purchase them on-site at the festival.
Should I book ahead?
Sauna sessions are popular and tend to sell out, so we recommend booking through your registration link before race day.
