RUN JASPER — APRIL 24, 2027
10TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION | JASPER, ALBERTA
OWN THE ROCKIES. MAKE YOUR MOUNTAIN MOMENT.
Big mountains. An unforgettable community. One legendary finish line.
Celebrate the 10th edition of the Jasper Canadian Rockies Half Marathon on Saturday, April 24, 2027, in the heart of Jasper National Park.
Whether you're chasing a personal best, taking on your first race, or simply looking for an unforgettable weekend in the mountains, Run Jasper offers an experience like no other.
Choose your challenge — 21K Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, or 1K Family Run — and experience breathtaking Rocky Mountain scenery, spectacular surroundings, and the energy of a community that makes every runner feel welcome.
With scenic courses, an incredible volunteer team, memorable finisher medals, and a finish line framed by the Canadian Rockies, this is more than a race. It's a mountain memory in the making.
Since 2016, the Jasper Canadian Rockies Half Marathon has brought runners, families, volunteers, and supporters together to celebrate active living and the beauty of Jasper National Park.
Our 10th anniversary is a celebration of everyone who has been part of the journey — from our very first participants to the thousands of runners who have crossed our finish line over the years.
RUN FOR JASPER — MAKE EVERY STEP COUNT.
Our commitment to Jasper goes far beyond race day.
Following the devastating 2024 wildfires, we're proud to continue supporting the community's recovery and long-term well-being through our partnership with the Jasper Healthcare Foundation.
Over the event's history, our runners and supporters have helped raise more than $164,000!
Every registration contributes to that legacy, and participants can make an even greater impact through additional donations or our dedicated charity fundraising program.
Come for the race. Stay for the Rockies. Run for Jasper.
Be part of the 10th. Your mountain moment starts here.

Parks Canada Approval & Wildlife Safety
The Jasper Canadian Rockies Half Marathon takes place within Jasper National Park, where protecting participants, wildlife, and the natural environment is a priority.
Event permits and course routes are subject to final approval by Parks Canada.
Because wildlife activity is a natural part of the Jasper experience, organizers may take appropriate action under the event's Wildlife Interaction Response Plan, including:
Delaying a race start
Temporarily stopping or holding participants
Modifying a course or race distance
Suspending or cancelling the event
These decisions may be made in consultation with Parks Canada and other relevant authorities.
No refunds or credits will be issued for wildlife-related delays, course modifications, or cancellations, except where an alternative is expressly offered under the Event Cancellation Policy below.
Air Quality & Wildfire Smoke Protocol
Participant safety remains our highest priority.
During race week, organizers will monitor conditions using the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) published by Environment and Climate Change Canada, together with Parks Canada and local authority advisories.
Depending on conditions, organizers may:
Delay race start times
Shorten or modify race distances
Temporarily suspend race activities
Cancel the event if air quality reaches AQHI 7 or higher, or if other conditions present an unacceptable safety risk
An AQHI reading of 7 or higher will trigger cancellation in accordance with our event safety protocol.
Any event modifications or cancellations will be communicated through email, the event website, social media, and on-site announcements where practical.
Refunds and credits are governed by the Event Cancellation Policy below.
Package Pickup & Identification
Participants must present valid photo identification when collecting their race package.
Participants under 18 may be required to attend with a parent or legal guardian.
Package pickup locations, dates, and times will be published on the event website and communicated before race weekend.
Registration & Entry Policies
Please review the following conditions before registering:
All entries are final and non-refundable.
Entries cannot be deferred to a future event.
Participants unable to attend due to illness, injury, scheduling conflicts, travel disruptions, or other personal circumstances are not eligible for a refund or deferral.
Bibs may not be sold, exchanged, or transferred privately.
Where officially permitted, participant transfers must be completed through the designated Race Roster online transfer system, subject to published deadlines and applicable fees.
Unauthorized bib transfers may result in disqualification.
Organizers reserve the right to refuse or revoke an entry for failure to meet eligibility requirements, non-compliance with event rules, or conduct affecting event safety or integrity.
Optional Registration Protection: Where available, participants may purchase registration protection during checkout. Coverage, exclusions, and claims are governed entirely by the protection provider's terms and conditions.
Force Majeure & Event Cancellation Policy
The Jasper Canadian Rockies Half Marathon is an outdoor event held within a national park. Circumstances beyond the organizer's reasonable control may affect the ability to safely deliver the event.
These circumstances may include, but are not limited to:
Wildfire, wildfire smoke, or hazardous air quality
Wildlife activity
Severe weather or natural disasters
Road closures or infrastructure disruptions
Government restrictions, public health orders, or Parks Canada directives
Other emergencies or circumstances beyond the organizer's control
Event Modifications or Race-Day Cancellation
If the event is delayed, shortened, rerouted, suspended, or cancelled after race activities have commenced, the event will be considered to have been delivered once any scheduled race distance has started.
No refunds, deferrals, or registration credits will be issued in these circumstances.
Full Event Cancellation Before Race Day
If the entire event must be cancelled before race day due to force majeure circumstances, organizers may, at their sole discretion, offer eligible registrants one of the following:
Complimentary entry into a 2027 Virtual Event, if offered; or
A registration credit of up to 30% of the eligible entry fee paid, applicable toward the 2028 Jasper Canadian Rockies Half Marathon.
These alternatives are discretionary and are not guaranteed.
Any credit will apply only to the eligible race registration fee, excluding mandatory charity contributions, processing fees, taxes, and optional purchases or upgrades.
Charity contributions and processing fees are non-refundable.
All decisions concerning event modifications, cancellations, and any alternative registration arrangements will be communicated through official event channels.
Participant Agreement
