The Haltérophilie NB Weightlifting is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development and advancement of the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. The HNBW is the official Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) for weightlifting in New Brunswick and is a member of Canadian Weightlifting and the Canadian Masters Weightlifting Association.
In order to participate in a sanctioned competition at any level - local, provincial, national or international - you must be a member of your PSO. A membership in the HNBW entitles you to compete in sanctioned competitions worldwide. It also allows you to take advantage of other services offered by the HNBW, such as development and training camps, coaching clinics, officiating clinics, etc.
Your membership fees are used to fund the activities of the HNBW and promote the growth of the sport in New Brunswick. Our fee includes membership fees for Canadian Weightlifting. Membership in the Canadian Masters Weightlifting Association are separate additional fees managed and collected by the Masters group.
Purchase options
2024/25 Athlete (Includes - ATHLETE/COACH/TO Membership)
2024/2025 - NBWA Fee $85+CWF Fee $15 = Total NBWA Membership $100
Haltérophilie NB Weightlifting, a non-profit Provincial Sport Organization will increase its Membership fees over the next three years to manage inflationary costs. We will be required to pay substantial increases in the fees we must remit to the Weightlifting Canada Haltérophilie our National Sport Organization (NSO). These fee increases will be incremental over the next three years in order to keep pace with increased operations costs and management of the sport in Canada.
We also now have substantial National and Provincial Government regulations that require PSO’s to implement more detailed policy suites, Safe Sport Policies and Reporting Mechanisms. We also have increased Insurance costs for injury, liability and abuse insurances.
As a result the NBWA board has implemented a fee increase schedule, to align with NSO and GNB requirements. We have done so while also trying to balance the cost of the services being delivered while still providing value for money.
We look forward to continuing to provide a fun and value packed opportunity for all NB weightlifters to enjoy our sport.
