Series details

The Brantford Tournament of Races features 6 race days throughout the year, and encourages more than 1700 people from all ages and skill levels to participate in our Brantford Running Series.

Each race had a 5K and a 10K competitive and officially timed race; recreational runners, power walkers and walking enthusiasts are also encouraged to take part. Along with the timed races we introduced a fun-run at many of our venues to attract families and younger children in the community.

Each race is professionally organized by SteadyState Race Management Services; half of the races took place on city streets taking participants through many heritage areas, passing historic sites and other popular tourist attractions our city has to offer. Half of the races took place on courses utilizing our beautiful trails, many which are paved, and featuring the scenic Grand River as a picturesque backdrop.

We partnered with local charities and non-profit organizations, and proceeds from each race, including 100% of all pledges went directly to supporting local causes and projects in our community. Collectively, all the charities involved in the 2012 Brantford Tournament of Races raised over $80,000.

Many people are setting goals to participate in each race, and many more are using our series to complement their training for longer races and keen on improving their times and establishing personal bests!

2013 marks our second year and we have some great plans to share for improving on this exciting community event, including adding a fall 10-miler!
