The Riverwalk Run Series will take you through the two historic stateline downtowns: McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN.

This one-of-a-kind, 3.1 mile course includes not only two charming Southern towns in different states, but a path that will bring participants alongside the famous Toccoa River, and across the area’s iconic steel truss bridge—one of only a few left in America.

With so much to do in the area, we recommend staying the whole weekend, surrounded by the mountains and rivers of beautiful NorthWest Georgia. In addition to boutique shopping and riverside dining at Riverwalk Shops, discover the next generation of country music with LIVE performances every Friday and Saturday night at TOONEYS.

The series was created by the McCaysville Business Association, a non-profit organization, to further the goal of fostering economic, cultural and social growth within the community. Drive up for the day or spend a weekend with family and friends in one of the area’s hundreds of scenic cabins or mountain town lodging. Our region offers plenty of activates, including live music, rafting, craft beer breweries, hiking, fly fishing, and more!

Race FAQs

• Race day registration is available, unless event sells out.
• Water bottles will be handed out *after* the run. However, due to environmental concerns, NO water will be handed out along the course. Runners may bring their own.
• There are restrooms at the city park and at Riverwalk Shops, but there are no restrooms along the route.
• Event will proceed rain or shine.

Awards

• All Participants will receive a SHIRT & MEDAL
• Overall Female & Overall Male
• Top THREE Age Group Winners: Female & Male Age Groups - 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
• Because start & finish lines are in different places, race time is based on “gun to chip” (USATF Rule 245)

Parking - The primary lot is located across from the McCaysville City Park and on city streets.
