My Food Allergy Friends is an Australian based food allergy resource. Their mission is to create a fun and visual way for young children to learn about food allergies. To support teachers, parents and classmates in keeping children with food allergies safe through food allergy books and educational resources. My Food Allergy Friends was founded by Jackie Nevard, food allergy mom to Thai. Thai was diagnosed with food allergies when he was just a baby, and as he got older, Jackie wanted to teach Thai about his allergens but found there were no age-appropriate resources. Jackie then created the 'Thai series', which was the first of its kind. Each book tackled a new developmental stage and challenge. Traveling, eating away from home, birthdays, kindy, starting school and experiencing anaphylaxis.
