5th Annual Back the Blue 5k

Join the Deer Park and La Porte, Texas communities and come run/walk the 5k (3.1miles). You do not have to be law enforcement to participate!

PLEASE READ:

1. Last day for chip-timed registrations is Thursday October 16th at 11:59pm. Registrations done on Friday the 17th or morning of the race do not receive a chip-timed bib but can still participate.

2. October 6th @ 07:00am is the cut-off date to get a shirt. If you register after 07:00am on October 6th, you will not receive a race shirt. If we have leftovers we will sell them at the race!

First 315 finishers get a race medal!

3. Race registration is final- there are no refunds if the race cancels for weather or a critical incident. We cannot transfer your registration to another person. If for some reason you are unable to make the race, your registration fee is considered a donation to the cause.

4. We love our dogs but they are not allowed on race course unless they are a registered medical assistance canine. Strollers are welcome - if your child is in a stroller, you do not need to register them.

5. Kiddos under age 12 will receive a discounted rate automatically applied when checking out!

Packet Pickup: Friday, Oct. 17th, 4:00pm-7:00pm, at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center in Deer Park.

**We highly encourage packet pickup on Friday.**

PARKING: Arrive with plenty of spare time! The roadways will begin shutting down for the race at 7:45am which may prevent your quickest route to park! Plan accordingly. There might be construction in the area this year but that won't stop us from a good time!

7:00am-7:30am day of race packet pick up at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center & last minute non-timed registrations.

7:45am: Runners need to start lining up for National Anthem & Prayer. We asked time-bibs and serious runners start in the front, casual runners and walkers wait toward the back of the starting crowd.

8:00am: Race starts promptly! Go get 'em! (water stations provided on race route on X St).

9:40-ish: Awards ceremony inside the Jimmy Burke

Awards categories:

1st Place Overall

2nd Place Overall

1st place male and 1st place female in age groups: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.

There will be no double dipping of awards. 1st Place Overall will not also receive an age group award.
