Major Taylor Memphis & Memphis River Parks Partnership Presents

Major Taylor Memphis along with Memphis River Parks Partnership would like to invite you to our 2nd Annual Juneteenth Freedom Ride in Memphis, TN. The date is Saturday, June 18, 2022, 7:00 am. Registration opens on February 1st, 2022. We will have multiple routes/distances 23|44|63 miles with supported SAG stops.

STARTING LOCATION ADDRESS FOR THE SATURDAY RIDE: Mud Island, 101 N. Island Drive, Memphis, TN 38103. Parking is available.

Pre-Ride Social Friday June 17th:

Come out and join us for a relaxed early evening ride through downtown Memphis. This short route will take us by several historically significant sites. There will be photo opportunities at some of the sites. Location Trek Store 3548 Walker Ave at 6:00 pm

Recovery Ride Sunday June 19th:

Do you want to get a few miles in before brunch and getting back on the road? Then join us for a Recovery ride on Sunday morning. The ride will roll out at 7:30 AM, Greenbelt Park, 2nd lot (middle parking lot) and we’ll have you back in the parking lot before 9:00 AM

Juneteenth Policies

1. The Major Taylor Memphis (MTM) Juneteenth Freedom Ride has a “No Refund Policy”.
2. If for any reason you cannot attend the event, you may request a transfer of your entry to another rider or you may request a deferral of your entry until next year.
3. Transfer and Deferral requests are to be emailed to support@majortaylormemphis.com. Please submit the Name and Email address of the person to whom you would like to transfer your entry. There will be a $5 transfer fee.
4. The deadline for any Transfers or Deferrals will be June 10, 2022.
5. The MTM Juneteenth Freedom Ride will start rain or shine.
6. Helmets with buckled chin straps are a requirement for all riders and must be worn at all times while on your bike.
7. Headphones of any kind are not allowed.
