The Annual Asheville Off Road Series is back for 2022!
This year, the Asheville Off Road Series will be held at the awesome venue - Ride Kanuga, located near Asheville in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Join us for an amazing day of cycling and running, or both, on Sunday, September 18, 2022!
The AORS (Asheville Off Road Series) consists of three main events: Asheville Individual Duathlon, 2-Person Duathlon Team, and Gravel Grinder Bike events. Each of these events gives a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts the ability to explore either by foot or by two wheels the Western North Carolina trails, gravel roads and scenic country paved roads.
Individual Duathlon: The Asheville Duathlon - a 2.5 mile, mostly single-track trail run, 13 mile mixed surface (both paved and gravel/dirt roads) bike, and a final 2.5 mile trail off-road run.
Gravel Events: The Asheville Gravel Grinder Bike Events come packed with something for every type of rider, a 25 or 42 mile option. Whether you are a seasoned athlete, a weekend warrior or scenery seeking rider, these bike events are for you!
UPDATE!! NEW EVENT OPTION!!
Do you run but don't bike? Do you bike but wouldn't dare run unless something was chasing you? We have the answer! Grab a friend or family member and split the event - form a 2-Person team for $40 each! One of you will run and one of you will bike.
2-Person Duathlon Team: Two participants will form a team and split the event. One will run and one will bike. Run 1 will be 2.5 miles. The runner will complete the first 2.5 miles, then enter the transition area and hand off to the biker for the 13-mile bike. Once the bike portion is complete, the biker will return to the transition zone and hand off to the runner for Run 2 for the second 2.5 miles.
Your generous donations will directly benefit St. Baldrick's Foundation childhood cancer research! |

Fit By Reid
Before you show up on race day, make sure your bike fits your body! Head over to Fit By Reid for a physical assessment and bike fitting - you'll be glad you did!
Fit by Reid is an athlete-focused independent bike fit studio. My background professionally is as an endurance sports coach and I've ridden and raced most disciplines, so I really understand the needs of athletes and that drives my athlete-focus approach to bike fit. I apply my background of helping athletes to bike fit so that everyone can be as happy as possible on their bike. The main things I do are bike fit for road, mtb, gravel, and some Tri and TT bikes; pretty much any pedal bike. The fit starts with an interview and physical assessment to get to know the rider and their needs. Then I do a comprehensive, fingers to toes bike fit using Retul 3D motion capture, and provide a post-fit report. I also offer a complete range of in person and remote coaching and skills instruction solutions for endurance cycling athletes.

“Your child has cancer.” Imagine being a parent, hearing that. Our daughter, Rebecca, was only 12 when she was diagnosed with leukemia.. What followed was three years of grueling treatments, most of which were cancer causing themselves, or had horrible side effects. But what choice does a parent have when told their child has cancer? None. And some of the choices and treatments are designed for adults, not growing bodies, or are outdated. Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death in children in the US, with one child diagnosed every two minutes.
-- and that is where YOU can make a difference. By supporting St. Baldrick’s you will be helping fund the most promising research to give families new options and give kids long and healthy lives. St Baldrick’s has funded over $314 million in research grants since 2005, thanks to one donor, one participant at a time. Help us give kids a lifetime!
Participants who donate $35 or more by September 5th will receive a free St. Baldrick's goody bag! Donations can be made during registration, or from the Donate button at the top of this page.
