Building on the success and popularity of the Perseverance Trail Run established in 2003 and the overwhelming demand for an ultra-running event in the Comox Valley, Perseverance Adventure Club presents the Devil’s Ladder Ultra. An epic trail race that features world-class singletrack in a spectacular rainshadow forest ecosystem.
Through your race entries and donations, the inaugural 2023 Devil's Ladder Ultra raised over $18,500 for the Cumberland Community Forest Society, United Riders of Cumberland and Comox Valley Ground Search & Rescue! A BIG thank you to each and every racer and volunteer who helped make this day an unforgettable experience.
We can't wait to do it again in 2024! Join us for a spectacular day of running and camaraderie on July 13th, 2024.
The goal of this event is to raise funds for the Cumberland Community Forest Society, United Riders of Cumberland and Comox Valley Ground Search & Rescue. We will promote community connection, physical activity and nature conservation all in one spectacular summer day in Cumberland, BC.
We respectfully acknowledge that the land we gather on is on the Unceded Traditional Territory of the K’ómoks First Nation, the traditional keepers of this land.
FIRE RISK
In 2023, we experienced warmer than normal weather which resulted in extreme wildfire risk throughout the region. The chances of our event being altered or cancelled depend on a number of factors, such as weather, current fire activity and firefighting resources currently available. These variables can change very quickly at any time. Our access permits to the lands on which our race takes place may be suspended on short notice. Please read the Race Polices before registering regarding cancellations.
