Our story…
This year's 3Kg Challenge consist of 10 participants running the 5K at the Alive to Strive Race, wearing a 3Kg/6.6Lb vest. The vest simulates the average weight individuals living with chronic kidney failure (needing dialysis treatments to survive), experience between each dialysis treatments, due to water retention.
The Alive to Strive 3Kg challenge allows local celebrities to experience firsthand one of the difficulties of living with chronic kidney disease and help us raise awareness of kidney disease in our community.
