Raise money for Hospice Huntsville

In the spirit of the traditional Underpants Run that takes place in Kona, and many other communities that have an Ironman race, TriMuskoka, the local triathlon club, has created a truly Muskokan event to raise money for a local charity.  Every Wednesday and Friday during the summer, TriMuskoka members get together at Camp Kitchen for an early morning swim around Paint Island as the sun rises over the eastern shore of Fairy Lake. TriMuskoka is welcoming all athletes to join in the swim and help support one of Huntsville's local charities.

The charity is Hospice Huntsville, one of Ontario's only residential hospices in a rural community.  It has 5 beds, and provides end of life care to local residents as well as those cottagers who come to Muskoka in their final months and days. Hospice has been a god send to our community as it has taken a large burden of palliative care outside of the hospital where palliative care shouldn't really be.

In lieu of a registration fee, each participant will make a $25 minimum charitable donation to Hospice Huntsville.  Of course, if you want to donate more, Hospice Huntsville would be more than happy to have your extra support!
