Nova Scotia Trail Running and Skyrunning Canada proudly presents one of the toughest races in Canada for the distance.
The 4th Annual Salomon Beat to Snot race. Ouch.
Here's a link to the 2016 course:
UPDATE: Thursday Sept 29, 1pm -- take note that there will not be drinkable water from the taps at the ski lodge, so bring most of your drinking water with you. Yes, there will be water at the aid stations, but not at the start.
The 2016 course will tack on some new single track trails that we haven't used yet...which means there will be one more full climb and descent :)
The stats from the 2016 course: 5.6k with 415m+, 17.8k with 1373m+, and 35.6k with 2746m+! Those are BIG numbers for little ol' Nova Scotia!!
We will once again offer 3 distances, with the longest distance being part of the Skyrunning Canada Series!
October is a spectacular time of year to be in the Wentworth Valley, especially on the amazing trails that Ski Wentworth has to offer. You won't want to miss out on this challenging event!
*We will not have cups at the aid stations (the aid station on course has been moved to the 9.2k mark), so if you want a drink, you need a bottle or some other container :)
*Every person registered (volunteers included) will receive a newly designed NSTR buff! They are also for sale for $10.
*Race day registration is available for $40 as well, but you won't be eligible for draw prizes since the draw is done the night before.
*Although there is no mandatory gear list, we always recommend having the following items in your pack: windproof/waterproof jacket, buff/toque, 1st Aid Kit, knife, compass, matches, whistle, and cell phone.
*No refunds unless the race is cancelled.
*You may defer your registration, but only within the calendar year.
