We're looking forward to another great Turkey Trot for 2017, our 9th year.
The 5K+ (the run is approximately 3.5 miles) Run will be chip timed again by Absolute Race Timing. Check out the Absolute Race Timing YouTube channel. Runners will receive an email with their race time immediately after they finish the run. The walk will not be chip timed.
The walk will be 1.8 miles. Starting out with the runners, and winding through a neighboring subdivision and finishing on the beautiful SFB nature trail created by LaRosa Landscape Co.
After the run and walk everyone is invited to enjoy Thanksgiving treats and drinks.
The T-Shirt: This year's shirt is a high quality, forest green, short-sleeve, Competitor™ tech shirt*, available in men's and women's sizes. But, you have to register by November 17th to guarantee receiving a shirt.
Woof! (or Meow!) The Turkey Trot is Pet Friendly! All pets must be on a leash and owners must bring waste bags. *Sorry, but pets will not be chip timed, they have four legs which gives them an unfair advantage.
Packet Pick Up: Participants can pick up their shirt and bib number on Wednesday, November 22rd from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at SFB School, 1425 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg (about 1/3mi north of 5-Corners). Packets will also be available for pick up from 8:00-9:30 AM on race day.
All entrants will also receive an email to their Virtual Event Bag with coupons, deals and info from our generous sponsors.
Thank you to our generous 2016 sponsors:.
*The fine print: 1) Registrations are non-refundable. 2) We cannot guarantee a shirt for registations received after November 16th. 3) Ugly dogs may be disqualified :(
Both the run and walk courses will start and end in front of St. Francis Borgia School, 1425 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, WI (North of 5-Corners).
The run is a little longer than 5K (3.4mi) and is a loop around a mostly rural, scenic area in the Town of Cedarburg. About 1/2 of the run is on a paved bike trail. See the map below.
The walking route will be on streets and a cross country trail designed by La Rosa Landscape Co. Some strollers may have trouble along the route, depending on weather conditions. Thicker tired "baby jogger" type strollers will be fine.
Please check the weather before you head out in the morning, and dress accordingly. A northwest wind is typical in November and it will be cold this time of year.
Be Happy and Have FUN!
