Event Details:

Miles for Migraine will host its next Philadelphia 2-mile Walk/ 5K/ 10K Run and Kids Treasure Hunt in the beautiful Wissahickon Park along Forbidden Drive. This Fundraiser for Migraine & Headache Awareness, Treatment & Research will take place Saturday, October 7th, 2017 at 8:30am featuring awards for the top male and female runners.

New for 2017: We will hold a post walk/run breakfast for all who want to attend.

Parking:

There is parking along Northwestern Ave, Andorra Road and Thomas Road. Also, there are 2 lots along Bells Mills Rd, with a short walk to the start.

FREE parking at Whitemarsh Country Club for those who attend the post-race breakfast with shuttlebus transportation beginning at 7am to race course and back

Additional Parking Along shuttlebus Route :

1. Intersection of Presidential Drive and Thomas Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA. Parking is on only allowed on Presidential Dr. From there walk down to Whitemarsh Valley Golf Club (WVGC) for bus.
2. Intersection of Kottler Drive and Thomas Rd., Lafayette Hill, PA. Parking is only allowed on Kottler Drive, from there walk up to WVGC for bus.
3. Intersection of Jackson Drive and Thomas Road, Lafayette Hill, PA. Parking is only allowed on Hain Drive. Bus will stop at Hain and Thomas to pick up passengers.

Course:

Course is an out and back along the picturesque Forbidden Drive on a packed/crushed gravel trail. All runners and walkers will start and finish in the same location. Porto potties will be provided at the start/finish and there will be 2 water stops along the course. Post race awards will immediately follow top runners and walkers finishing in each race category, near the start/finish line.

PLEASE NOTE 10k is only for runners. We can not keep the course open past 10:00. If you want to walk/run the 5k and can be finished by 9:30, then that is ok.

Due to the safety of runners and walkers, we cannot allow Dogs or Strollers in any of the events

Packet Pickup

We will be holding pre-race packet pickup on Friday, October 6th at the UPenn location, from 11-6 at 3621 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA. If you are not able to make it to pre-race packet pick up, you will be able to pick up your packets the morning of the event starting from 7:15-8:15AM. Please arrive early, as lines may be long.
