Help Elisa raise money

For participating in MILES FOR MIGRAINE RACE - CHICAGO, 2017

My Story…

Migraine research only receives 1/20th of the money it deserves proportional to total impact.on sufferers. There are 38 million migraineers in the US and 1 billion worldwide – more patients than diabetes and asthma combined. A migraine is not “just a headache”. It chronically disables people with such an array of painful symptoms that 9% of migraineers and 10% of those with migraine-like syndromes attempt to end their own lives annually (Reuters, 2012). I have suffered from a sudden onset and extremely disabling migraine-like syndrome called New Daily Persistent Headache since January 14th, 2013. I have received cutting edge treatments that keep me upright every day. If not for those treatments, I would not be able to walk, but they’ve worked so well these days, I’m running. I want to give back what I owe, so I have committed to raise $2K running a 5K for migraine research. When doctors says “no known cure", the word I focus on is “known”. Please give what you can.
