We are excited to be supporting our local Canadian Mental Helath Association. All proceeds made will go to the CMHA, and be used to help promote and support mental health recovery and wellness by working with individuals, families and community partners.
In this event your team of 6 will battle through 8 physical challenges. Your team will have 25mins max to complete the challenge. The faster your team completes the challenge, the more recovery time you will have before your next event. You will be presented with a new event at the top of each hour (or on the half hour)- 8 hours in total. The team who completes all 8 challenges in the least amount of time will be awarded the first responders cup.
Each event will have exercises focused around Fire/Police/EMS/CBS.
Cost per team
$300 - ($50 each participant) - minimum
Since this event is 100% for the CMHA we hope that you take the time to fundraise the entry fee plus some. Awards will be given to the top fundraising team.

First Responders Cup
Fleming College's Pre-Service Firefighter, Paramedic, Customs Border Services and Police Foundations Students are excited to be hosting our first Annual "First Responders Cup"!
We are proud to be supporting our local Canadian Mental Health Association. All proceeds made will go to the CMHA, and be used to help promote and support mental health recovery and wellness by working with individuals, families and community partners.
So what exactly is the "First Responders Cup"?
It is an ultimate fitness challenge where your 6-man(woman) team will test their stamina in an 8 hour battle. Each team will be given a workout at the top of each hour to complete, 8 challenges in total. The challenges will include a mixture of fire/police/ems/cbs focused exercises. Your team will be judged at each station for time. The faster you complete your challenge the more recovery time you will have before the start of the next hour. (45 min time cap for each event).
Still confused? Here is more of a breakdown.
- Location: Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre
- Date: Saturday March 11th
- Time: 8 hour event 9:00am - 5:00pm (arrive by 8:00 to register)
- 6 athletes per team (two female's minimum)
- 8 events total - all located in Gymnasium A at the PSWC
- Your first event will be chosen at random - you will either be starting your challenges on the hour - or on the half hour
- Each event will have a convener to explain the rules, time and monitor form/reps
- Times will be recorded at each event
- The cup will be awarded to the team that completes all 8 challenges in the least amount of time
- Separate awards will be given to the winners of each specific event
