2017 Firecracker 5K
The 13th Annual Firecracker 5K Run and Walk and Kids 100-Yard Dash is a great way to start the July 4th holiday. Benefiting Pleasant Hill schools, the run has raised over $120,000 and continues to grow each year. So, gather up the family, dress in your best patriotic gear, and come join the fun on July 4th in downtown Pleasant Hill. Entry fee includes a commemorative race t-shirt.
May I decide which school receives my money?
Yes! During the registration process you will be asked to designate a Pleasant Hill school to receive the net proceeds from your registration fees.
Entry fee is $30.00 for early bird entries before June 30th; $35.00 after June 30th and on race day. Discounts are also available for families and groups of 3 or more. Race t-shirts are not guaranteed after June 19th. There is no fee or t-shirt for the kids 7 & under 100-yard dash fun run, but please register so that we know how many participants to expect. Runners aged 7 & under may also register for the 5K with an entry fee to receive a t-shirt.
The 5K course starts at 45 Crescent Drive, in front of the Clock Tower. The route winds through the downtown area and follows the same route as the parade. Runners make 3 laps around the course.
The registration fee includes a commemorative Firecracker Run and Walk t-shirt. T-shirts aren’t guaranteed after June 19th, so register early so you don’t miss out!
Parking is available at the multi-story parking lot on Crescent Drive across the street from the Century 16 Theater. Note that the entry/exit to this parking lot on Contra Costa Boulevard will remain open the entire day. The entry/exit on Crescent Drive will be closed from 7 AM to 11 AM
Participants acknowledge and agree that photos and/or video footage taken during any of the events sponsored by and/or included in the Pleasant Hill Fourth of July celebration may be used without further consent or compensation by the Pleasant Hill Fourth of July Commission for promotional purposes. This includes, but is not limited to websites, Facebook, social networks, articles, and any other promotional or news materials regardless of the format.
You must register ALL people at the same time. Once you have completed your registration use the , "ADD ANOTHER PARTICIPANT" button at the bottom. If you choose to register a 4th, 5th or 6th person each participant will be charged $25.00. You will see the discount on the CHECKOUT page.
