Annual 5K to raise awareness and funds for Mississippi's only Human Milk Bank. Our Mission is to screen potential donor mothers, then accept, pasteurize and dispense donor human milk to premature and ill infants in Mississippi by physician prescription and according to guidelines from the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA). The Mothers' Milk Bank of Mississippi is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. All proceeds from The Milk Run 5K will directly support our mission.

Event details
The Milk Run 5K - both run and walk - will start and finish at the Flowood Nature Park, 4077 Flowood Drive in Flowood. The route will run east on the jogging path along Flowood Drive to the entrance of Bella Ridge neighborhood, then back to Flowood Nature Park along the same path. Timing by Sisu Race Timing. Registration fee for 5K runners and walkers includes one T-shirt (for those who ordered by Sept 1 deadline), water / sports drinks, and chocolate milk, breakfast after the race, and swag bag. Online registration is available until 6:00pm on September 21.
Prizes for 5K: top three male and female runners in each age category and overall, top 3 male and female walkers overall, plus $100 VISA gift card for runner or walker who collects the most money in pledges! Team that has the most registered runners or walkers will also receive an award.
Packets/swag bags may be picked up on Friday, September 21, from 9:00am to 6:00pm at the milk bank offices at 2001 Airport Road, Suite 204, Flowood.
Check-in and walk-up registration for both the run and walk will be at 7:00-7:45am on September 22, at the Flowood Nature Park, with the 5K run beginning at 8:00am, and the walk at 8:05am. Presentation of colors, national anthem, and awards presentation at 9:30am.
