Your Dollars are Hard at Work

The fight against cancer is the battle of a lifetime.

When you’re in the thick of it, you desperately need support - from your family and your community.

The St. Vincent Anderson Foundation supports patients and families facing cancer at St. Vincent Anderson.  100% of all funds raised throughout the year inspire hope through the following programs and services:

The Cancer Center - The Women’s Center – State-of-the-art digital 3D mammography and breast ultrasound technology; patient navigators, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Cancer Services -  Cancer Rehabilitation, Tumor Board and Registry, Cancer Library “Kevin’s Korner”, Support Groups “Hands and Hearts,” Journey Champions, Partners and St. Vincent Home Health and Hospice.

Marie’s Hope - The Marie's Hope fund offers women’s services and free health screenings for those who cannot otherwise afford to be screened.

CheckIt4Andretti - This fund was started in honor of John Andretti, race car driver and friend of the St. Vincent Classic for Kids. After being diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer, John wanted to encourage individuals to get a colonoscopy. The CheckIt4Andretti Fund will provide care to those who have no health insurance, who typically qualify for financial assistance.

Just as cost can be a limiting factor, which might prevent some individuals from getting screened for medical conditions, there are often other factors involved. Lack of knowledge, lack of motivation or fear of the process can keep individuals from getting screened for medical conditions. The Marie's Hope and CheckIt4Andretti funds seek to first educate individuals on the importance of such tests, as well as gain them access to the care which could lead to early detection.

2018 Cancer Challenge event proceeds will help renovate St. Vincent Anderson Cancer Center patient access areas.

Congratulations to all the St. Vincent Cancer Run/Walk Challenge sponsors, participants, donors and supporters.  Your donations impact the lives of those facing cancer!

Team Captains

Team Captains - Helpful Hints

You've got your team and your sneakers ready to go. Now what?  GET YOUR TEAM MOVING!  Below, please find some quick tips to help motivate your team and get everyone excited for the Cancer Challenge!

Set a Team Goal. Setting a team goal is the first step to success and helps get everyone rallied around a common purpose. Make sure that everyone on your team knows what the team goal is and how they can contribute to helping achieve it.

Send emails to your team. This not only helps you track how your teammates are doing on their fundraising goals but you can also share encouragement, news and plan fundraising events to help your team reach (or exceed) your goal.

Gather as a group. Go for training runs/walks, have team fundraising events, or visit Hoosier Park together and check out some points on the route!  Meeting in person helps everyone stay motivated and gives you a chance to share creative new ideas for raising funds and having fun at the Challenge.

Get social. Encourage your teammates to post updates and ask for support on Facebook and other social media sites. Be sure they're sharing statuses and raising awareness of team fundraising activities!

Corporate Teams

There is strength in numbers and your company can make a difference!

Your company can make a positive impact on those facing cancer at St. Vincent Anderson.  100% of the funds raised during the St. Vincent Cancer Run/Walk Challenge provide programs and services to support cancer patients and their families, as well as improve access to life-saving screenings for the poor and under-served in our community!

Two ways your business can be involved in the St. Vincent Cancer Run/Walk Challenge:

1.  Become a Corporate Sponsor

Becoming a sponsor is the perfect way for businesses to partner with the St. Vincent Cancer Run/Walk Challenge. There are several different sponsorship opportunities, each with different levels of benefits. Each package offers you the chance to connect with families and supporters of St. Vincent, while showcasing your commitment to improving cancer care in Indiana.

For more information on St. Vincent Cancer Run/Walk Challenge sponsor levels and benefits please contact Nancy Anderson at the St. Vincent Anderson Foundation: or 765-646-8710.

2.  Start a Corporate Team

Corporate team participation in the St. Vincent Cancer Run/Walk Challenge provides companies of all sizes an opportunity to offer their employees an unforgettable team-building experience, while supporting the patients and families cared for by St. Vincent Anderson.

Building Your Team is Easy!

Register your corporate team:

  • As easy as 1-2-3!  Choose a Team Captain, set your fundraising goal, and register your team to set up an online fundraising Web page.
  • Recruit your team! Ask people face-to-face to join your company’s team. Most people respond best when asked in a personal manner.
  • Use the online fundraising tools! Send out the e-mail templates available for you, share the online registration link, and help your team members reach their goals.

It really is that easy! For more information on how to start a corporate team at your office, please contact Nancy Anderson: or 765-646-8710.
