Help Janet raise money

Many of you know our story. It is still hard to believe, eight years later that my kid sister Judy suffered a fatal heart attack caused by spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), a poorly understood cause of a heart attack. Judy's husband started SCAD Research, Inc., a nonprofit to raise funds to support the most promising research on SCAD. I always admired families who were impacted by a tragedy and took action to do something positive. Never believing of course that one day that would be our family. It just doesn't seem real in many ways. Yet, here we are. To date, SCAD Research, Inc has raised and donated $800,000 to research. This year our goal is to raise an additional $200,000 in order to reach a million dollars donated to research. Research is expensive so any amount you can donate will help find answers to the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women and new moms. SCAD can reoccur and can impact men too.
