It's almost time for the 9th annual Zachary D'Souza 4v4 Smiles 4 Miles Soccer Tournament commencing on May 11th of this year. This year 100% of the proceeds are going straight to the Ronald McDonald House Foundation. Zach's Markhamites have been crowned the Top Fundraisers award 8 years running raising over $12,000, since the tournament commenced in 2011 and we are hoping to continue the streak for a 9th year. For those of you who don't know, my cousin Zachary was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma back in 2008. He fought hard until the illness took over and passed away in November of 2010, he died at the age of 17. Zachary, to this day, is and always will be one of the strongest people I have ever known. He was always a believer, even when his life was coming to an end, he believed in a miracle in the shadows. One of his last messages to everyone was "Everything will be okay, my Lord is looking after me". Although his miracle never came, whose to say that it still won't come.
