Help Jen raise money

In the summer of 2000, my mom, my brother, and I moved from the Chicago suburbs to the San Francisco Bay Area to move in with my stepdad, Ray. In late 2001, Ray was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney cancer. He passed away on October 28, 2002; he was almost 53. Kidney cancer stole an important person in my life. It stole my mom's husband, it stole Ray's opportunity to be a grandfather to his daughters' children and eventually my brother's and my children, and it stole memories we all could have been making for the past 17 years and all the years to come. It's been 17 years since we lost Ray. It does get easier to talk about, but the anger never goes away. Helping me reach this fundraising goal will help fund research to cure this disease so another girl like me doesn't have to lose an important part of her life.
