Depression affects 20-25% of American adults in a given year, and only half of those experiencing an episode of major depression receive treatment. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US for all ages and 2nd leading cause for Florida residents ages 10-24. On average, one person dies by suicide every three hours in the state of Florida. This public health crisis has to be eradicated, and Centerstone is here to help.

Centerstone offers state-of-the-art mental health and addictions care with facilities in Manatee, Sarasota, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry, and Lee Counties. Our goal is to ensure that crisis services are available to anyone experiencing depression or thoughts of suicide. Centerstone is a not-for-profit health care organization dedicated to delivering care that changes people’s lives. We provide mental health and substance abuse treatment, education and support to communities in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee and additionally offer individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities life skills development, employment and housing services. Nationally, we have specialized programs for service members, veterans and their loved ones, and develop employee assistance programs for businesses of all sizes.
