I'm standing tall to end domestic violence on June 9th because Brantford has the 2nd highest rate in Ontario and 6th highest rate in Canada of "victims of police-reported intimate partner violence". Nova Vita is the only safe, emergency shelter for women and children in Brantford/Brant County and our commitment to ending violence is demonstrated in the work we do every single day, 24 hours a day. But we can't do this alone. We need to work with all levels of government, private businesses & local companies, our community partners, police, hospitals, housing, employers, education, child welfare, legal systems... and individuals like you to make a difference. As the Executive Director of Nova Vita, I am committed to ending violence against women, domestic violence, gender-based violence, sexual violence, elder abuse, and sex trafficking.
