The Second Annual MR8K: A Run For Gratitude
This year I started volunteering for the MR8 Foundation through the Challenger - Buddy program as part of my Mitzvah Project. I had a great time helping out on the baseball field, playing with kids, introducing them to sports, and sharing the joy that I feel when I play sports.
I want to continue to work with the MR8 Foundation in a variety of ways. This Labor Day I will be running for the MR8K - a 5 mile road race. I am also excited that the race this year will be hosted at the Warrier Ice Arena (the Bruins' practice facility!) as hockey is my favorite sport. I hope to raise at least $5,000. I have created TEAM EVAN to raise money for this race. Please join my team and run with me, donate, or come out to cheer us on.
